New Buffalo Events Schedule (Calendar)

Every weekend in New Buffalo holds the opportunity for something new. We host a variety of special events throughout the year — from street festivals and blockbuster art shows to fireworks on the water and exciting sports like Great Lakes surfing. Check out our calendar of events for something happening of interest to you:

  • October 7: The 8th Annual Hot Rod Happening at the WOW Art Gallery, 529 E. Buffalo St. Browse the collection of classic cars and contemporary art from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

  • October 11: 2nd Annual New Buffalo Harvest Fest, Lions Park in downtown New Buffalo. Everything local - live music, world class wines, food, farmer's market, and hayrides. Abundance of free activities for kids. ALSO...at the St. Julian Winery Union Pier Tasting Room (held in conjunction with the New Buffalo Harvest Fest), noon to 8 p.m., Oct. 11: Wine tent sponsored by St. Mary of the Lake School, live entertainment, hayrides, kids games, food, crafts and farm booths. Free admission with charge for some events.

  • October 18: New Buffalo Service League Arts and Crafts Show. More than 90 arts and crafts booths, baked goodies and luncheon foods will be for sale from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. A great place to get a jump on the holidays. Located at New Buffalo High School Gym Call 269-469-3180 for the details.

  • November 22: Holiday Parade with Santa leaving the Harbor Grand at 12:30 p.m. followed down Whittaker Street by floats created by residents and businesses to the New Buffalo Fire Station. Santa will lend an ear to children's Christmas lists from 1-3. Luminaries will light up the streets starting at 6 p.m., decorated by New Buffalo Elementary and St. Mary of the Lake School students. The tree lighting ceremony, with caroling and hot chocolate, will be at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Whittaker and Mechanic Streets.
