Dokken and Jack Russell’s Great White will perform at Four Winds New Buffalo’s Silver Creek® Event Center on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 9 p.m. Eastern. Dokken exploded out of the boiling hard rock/heavy metal scene in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 1983’s “Breaking the Chains” with its catchy title track, set the stage for Dokken becoming the most dominant creative and commercial force in the world of Melodic Hard Rock for the following years. Such classic albums as “Tooth and Nail,” “Under Lock and Key,” and “Back for the Attack” all became Multi-Platinum selling smashes and the live “Beast from the East” went gold in Europe and Japan. Songs like “Alone Again,” “Just Got Lucky,” “Into the Fire,” “In My Dreams,” “Unchain the Night,” “Dream Warriors,” “Burning like a Flame,” and “Heaven Sent” are still nowadays regarded among the genre’s finest. Rather than look backwards and merely attempt to relive the multi-platinum hard rock entity’s storied origins, Jack Russell set his sights on the future. In December 2011, Jack Russell’s Great White first bared its teeth. Guitarist Robby Lochner has been with Jack since its inception, they soon welcomed back longtime bassist and friend Tony Cardenas Montana—this time as a guitar player and keyboardist. The group also features Dan McNay on bass and Ken Mary on drums. In 2017, Jack Russell’s Great White released their first album titled He Saw It Comin’. In August 2021, Jack Russell’s Great White released a sequel to Great White’s 1998 tribute album to Led Zeppelin titled Great Zeppelin II: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin. On July 13, 2021, a cover of “Whole Lotta Love” was released.
