Fishing Charters, Fishing Supplies, Sunset and Sightseeing Charters

Lake Michigan provides some of the best sport fishing in the country. The southern lake basin off the coast of New Buffalo is well known for its jumbo perch, freshwater drum, steelhead, coho salmon, chinook salmon, Brown trout, and lake trout. The Galien River expands the fishing to include Rainbow Trout, Walleye, Pike, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Catfish, Crappie, Blue Gill, Sunfish, and Sucker.

For fishing conditions, see our Lake Michigan Fishing report

Fishing on the Big Lake requires a boat or using a Charter service, but access to New Buffalo’s game fish is available without a boat at several locations at the lakefront and mouth of the Galien River. Pier and shoreline fishing at the City Park, the breakwater, and the Municipal Marina offers great fishing and family fun.
